Mail Art Collaboration:
A series of works made in collaboration with artist John Steed. This evolving project started in July 2014 and is still in progress.
Either artist can initiate a work beginning typically with a sheet of A1 cartridge paper. Any form of mark making is acceptable and has included, charcoal, acrylic paint, household and industrial paints, pencil, ink, collaged magazine cuttings and photographs, egg tempura, lipstick, rubber ink stamp no holds barred. The work in progress was mailed through the post following each artist's contribution until either party declared the work as finished. This unilateral declaration triggered the start of another work or a revisit to a previous work.
